PLATFORM SNAPSHOT:

Fostering stronger relationships between the CUS, the Sauder School of Business, and it’s students in order to develop high caliber and top performing individuals.

 

This includes not only working closely, but also building genuine relationships with the UGO, the BCC, Sauder Alumni, and the Dean’s Office in order to to provide more resources and programs that are truly tailored to student’s needs and best interests.
 

The unification of the faculty’s major stakeholders will ensure a better transitioned and positive experience where student’s can truly maximize their potential and their networks.

Providing ample of opportunities for student’s voices to be heard and ensuring that all CUS business and decisions are actively communicated to the larger student body in a timely manner.

 

The CUS should take a proactive approach in inviting students to Board of Director and Executive meetings, alongside providing a LIVESTREAM service for monthly Board meetings publicly available to students to ensure constant two-way communication.

 

Strong communication between CUS operations to the student body ensures for smoother year-by-year transitioning, generates trust and student involvement, and creates a more positive undergraduate experience overall. 

Increasing student involvement and engagement in order to maximize each and every student’s undergraduate experience.
 
Ensuring that both international and domestic students feel welcomed and unified by initiating Term 1 and Term 2 back to school events for all years. Initiating such events (like bringing back Commerce Week) should foster a sense of community and mentorship within our student society, thus allowing for a better transition for new students going into the Sauder School of Business. 
 
A focus on funding events that bring students closer should be a priority of the CUS in order to foster a community of students that are proud to be a part of the Sauder Faculty.
